This benevolent millionaire veterinarian just bought an entire Pembrokeshire village to turn into holiday lets and he’s going to let some refugees stay in one to offset a bit of his guilt while he makes a tidy profit and frankly it is the heart melting story we all need right now

Celeb vet bought whole coastal village with intention of developing into holiday homes but is also letting a refugee family stay there for bit and we are so here for acts of altruism of this nature, I Knead the Truth reports

When the last living resident of a quaint coastal village in Pembrokeshire died a few months back, locals were worried that it would just become another ghost town populated by tourists for three months of the year at the expense of locals in desperate need of affordable housing, all just to line the bank account of some rich property developer.

But before that could happen Dr Lionel Lobster, AKA TV’s Dr Lobster, swooped in and bought the property before the corpse of the previous owner was still warm, which, according to reports, meant that Lobster is now the proud owner of an entire village, having spent the last 15 years buying every house in the historic north Pembs fishing port of Llan Ffug.

After building up a substantial fortune performing live experimental inseminations on endangered lobsters on morning television with Loraine Kelly, the celebrity veterinarian, who – let’s be honest! – we are more used to seeing shoving syringes up lobsters backsides, decided “the time was right” to get into property development, and we couldn’t agree more! Preach!

“It seemed like nobody could afford to buy houses anymore except the super rich and seeing as I was super rich I decided to buy multiple houses and then make myself even more super rich by doing them up and letting them out for holidays,” said Lionel, 48, speaking to I Knead The Truth. And we totally feel that.

“I can’t believe I’ve been so lucky to buy up a whole village with little to no formal resistance from locals and my celebrity friends have all been very supportive and now they all want to buy their own Pembrokeshire village too which is great. I personally believe that everyone should be able to amass a large fortune and buy their own Pembrokeshire village too,” added Dr Lobster, and that just sums the guy up in a lobster shell! Always thinking of others first! #heartmelting

And what’s more, this benevolent millionaire TV vet has even offered to house a family of refugees in one of the smaller outhouses that used to be a shed where fisherman used to piss in a bucket, for free. At least until they find their feet, at which point they will be asked to leave and find somewhere to live that won’t upset tourists’s authentic experience of Pembrokeshire. And that’s only fair! Guy’s gotta make a living somehow!

It’s the feel good story we all need right now. Obviously people are going through a really tough time having to keep their electric and gas use to a minimum and only eat what they can find in a skip so it’s nice to see that someone is doing well for themselves. More power to you, Dr Lobster!

Naturally, though, one man’s generosity and well-earned wealth has dredged up some jealous hateful comments from the internet, about “performative empty gestures,” “hypocrisy,” “tone deaf attitudes at a time of housing and energy crises,” “using refugees as a moral shield for insensitive greedy capitalist behaviour,” “vacuous celebrity culture focused only on the narrow spectrum of trending concerns with no substance or desire to address systemic issues,” “the continued endless social cleansing of British tourist destinations,” “the glamorisation of property development,” and so on, but sources say these trolls are only in the loud minority and the actual majority of people are actually in favour of people hoarding property for their own gain at the expense of those less fortunate.

Maybe if all those jealous trolls had their own Pembrokeshire holiday cottage and vast lobster inseminating fortune fortune they wouldn’t complain!
